I didn't get a chance to see this live but I just watched it online and it's kind of a relief. Apparently after sustaining so many head and neck injuries over time, a lot of damage was done to Benoit's head. There is a normal tile protein that all brain cells have but there is also an abnormal tile protein that is associated with brain related diseases and also associated with brain damage due to trauma, Chris had extensive amounts of the abnormal type. This is believed to cause people to act differently from the way they normally would.
So in other words, brain damage may have something to do with the tragedy which makes sense of this whole situation. I was and still am a huge Benoit fan and I think he's one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time. After this tragedy, a lot of fans lost their respect for him and I just hope this new evidence will help fans see that Benoit was not a cold-blooded killer, but rather a man who suffered terrible brain trauma that eventually caused him to lose a grip on reality.

Well, if it does affect it considerably, you could say he was just victimised by the terrible brain trauma, but if it isn't really that affected, he's still a killer at the end of the day.
